Honey Badger Martial Arts located in Blue Mountain Beach, Florida in The Studio Thirty A, offers realistic martial Arts classes and seminars for students of all skill levels. We will begin our new classes and offerings in our new home located at Studio Thirty A above Redfish Taco in Redfish Village 2052 W. County Hwy 30A, Santa Rosa Beach, Fl 32459 on Tuesday February 1.

The instructors are a group of Martial Artists with years of experience teaching, training and working with students of all skill levels. Instructors include; Ed Berry, Henry Patterson and an occassional guest appearance from an allegience of martial arts instructors from all over the Emerald Coast.
Ed Berry began studying Martial Arts at the age of eight. His first Martial Arts training was in the Korean Art of Taekwondo. As he began his teenage years, he began training in a cross or mixture of Martial Arts under Hap Milt. Hapkido, knife skills, and practical chokes were practiced. In his twenty’s, he began training formally in AGK (the American Goshin Budo and Kobudo – Shi-Toh-Ryu Karate -Do) by Sensei Stan Cole in Black Mountain, North Carolina. During this time he was introduced to both Form Tournaments and Fighting Tournaments.
Approximately 22 years ago, in his Thirties, Ed had the unique privilege to meet Sifu Henry Patterson. At this time Sifu Patterson introduced him to the Chinese Arts of: Wing Chun and White Crane Gong Fu, Shaolin Qin Na, Taijiquan and Qigong. In the years of training in these Chinese Arts, Ed has been invited to travel all across the United States to train with Dr. Yang Jing – Ming of www.ymaa.com and Master Yip Pui (Terence Yip) of www.yipwingchun.com
Henry Patterson began his Martial Arts training in 1966 in the art of Goju -Ryu Karate. From 1985 – 1996 Henry studied Isshin -Ryu Karate where he earned a Son Don (3rd degree) Black Belt. In 1986 Henry was introduced to Dr. Yang Jwing – Ming of www.ymaa.com, where he began training in White Crane, Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong. Since 1997, Henry has not only been a student of Dr. Yang’s but a teacher of Qin Na at the YMAA Headquarters in Boston, Mass. From 1988 until 2000, Henry was trained in Wing Chun Kung Fu by Yip Pui (Terence Yip) of www.yipwingchun.com. He earned a teaching certificate in Wing Chun under the Ip Chun lineage.
Henry has also trained in Tai Chi Long Pole, Baguazhang, and Xingyiquan –by Hsu Fun- Yuen the President of the Tai Chi Academy of Chicago – www.taichicenter-chicago.com
Henry’s passion is to teach applicable martial arts to reach a higher level of self improvement while training his student to the best of his ability.
